1. The Old inn, Crawfordsburn

10 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes to the city centre

The Old Inn is an award-winning 4 Star luxury boutique hotel in the village of Crawfordsburn.   The thatched building is steeped in history and houses 32 luxury bedrooms, a phenomenal restaurant, a traditional bar with fantastic outdoor seating, plus a suite of meeting rooms for up to 120.

Dating back to 1614, a stay in this hotel is a unique experience, offering a feeling of being part of history and a real treat for foodies.

Surrounded by a forest park and a short, beautiful walk to the beach, the inn is perfect for a residential meeting with an outdoor element too.  Crawfordsburn Country Park offers a range of outdoor activities from the peaceful to the adventurous.

A quick drive from the Old Inn will take your attendees to the Copeland Distillery where they can hear tales of smugglers and sample a portfolio of spirits on a 90 minute tour.

2. Down Royal Racecourse

30 minutes from the airport, 25 minutes to the city centre

The meeting suites the Down Royal Racecourse seat up to 500 guests and offer a modern, spacious setting for an event.

Alongside the excitement of the venue’s sporting history, their catering partners French Village and Shortcross Gin Distillery make this venue a hit with attendees.  Generous hospitality packages and a feeling of space make the racecourse a great option for long days.

The racecourse is close to Lisburn, a neighbour of Belfast and home to a host of attractions, restaurants and trendy new hotels including the Rabbit Hole, a hip 92-room hotel with spa.  Also nearby is the outstanding Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, a beautiful royal residence and wonderful venue for an evening event.

Book a group tour of the family-run, Hilden microbrewery with tastings and regular Irish music nights or visit the Coca-Cola visitor experience for a free tour exploring the history, marketing and production of the brand’s drinks.



La Mon Hotel & Country Club

3. La Mon Hotel & Country Club

20 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to the city centre

Nestled in the countryside but close enough to the airport and city centre, the La Mon Hotel boasts one of the largest events suites in Northern Ireland as well as a full spa and country club including tennis courts.


It is one of our top recommendations for a meeting with a leisure or family programme – everything you need is onsite and the accessibility to nearby attractions makes it easy for whatever you plan.

A range of nature activities are on your doorstep including Castle Espie, a scenic bird sanctuary, a number of beautiful country parks, historical gardens and golf clubs.


Add-on experience:

A 20 minute drive to Mount Stewart is well worth the visit.  It is a stunning estate in the beautiful scenic area of Strangford Lough. The Formal Gardens are ranked as one of the top ten in the world and it has some phenomenal pieces of art in the building so is perfect for history buffs.

4. The Culloden Estate and Spa

8 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes to the city centre

Overlooking Belfast Lough and the County Antrim coastline, is the magnificent Culloden Estate stands within 12 acres of woodland and gardens.
