Director of Business Development
I have 12 years’ experience in international business development and marketing in Tourism, Education and Economic Development which will aptly equip me to promote and sell the city internationally to contribute to the growth of business tourism and its significant role to the local tourism economy.
As Director of Business Development I will now be responsible for key strategies across international conferences, cruise and travel trade sales.
Head of Business Tourism
Originally a country girl from the Ards Peninsula I moved to Belfast in 2011 and adore the city vibe. I live with my husband and our rescue dog.
I studied French and Spanish in Edinburgh and lived abroad after graduation. On moving back to NI in 2007 I worked in software sales and business development. I have spent seven years in tourism and wouldn’t work anywhere else, it is a joy to promote a city that has so much to offer. The best part of my job is changing perceptions and seeing the smiles on clients’ faces when we wow them with our offerings. As the Lonely Planet says: “Get there early and enjoy it before the rest of the world arrives.”
Ambassador Programme Manager
I love nothing more than exploring the city with my partner Billy and son especially by attending the vast range of events that take place every year.
I joined the Business Tourism team at Visit Belfast in 2010 so I have a strong understanding of how conferences work, especially in Belfast. As part of the ambassador role I have a passion in attracting strategic conferences to the city, those that have wider tourism benefits and leave a legacy for our key sectors in Northern Ireland.
Client Services Manager
Married to Brian and live in Newcastle, County Down. Spent seven years in London after graduating and had an amazing time but it was time to come home! I am a keen runner and have ran a few marathons including London Marathon and Derry Marathon.
I began my career working in hotels in the events department and then moved over to the corporate agency side where I venue sourced and contracted a wide range of corporate pharmaceutical events worldwide.
Sports, Special Interest Groups and Business Tourism Intern
A country girl from Co. Tyrone working in the heart of Belfast. I love seeing the city buzzing full of life with tourists and conference delegates, it shows how far Belfast has come and how it will continue to grow.
Currently studying BSc Leisure and Events Management at Ulster University. Now gaining invaluable experience through my placement year in the Business Tourism Team at Visit Belfast, promoting the beautiful city and Northern Ireland as a whole.
Business Tourism Sales Manager
Originally from Zimbabwe but grew up throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, avid sports fan, passionate about travel, love Belfast but still trying to teach my friends over here the rules of cricket.
Coming from a background from in software sales, I work in the business tourism team promoting Belfast as a conference destination.
Business Tourism Sales Manager
Living just outside the city for most of my life has given me a great appreciation for how far Belfast has come in recent years. Growing up watching the city flourish has been so exciting and I can’t wait to see where we go from here.
Nearly four years selling food diagnostic machinery, then two years in software sales – before I finally made the move to business tourism. Selling such a wonderful city is a pleasure and I love getting out and about; showing people the best venues, hotels, bars and restaurants that our fantastic city has to offer.
