The magnificent panelled walls of this spectacular venue hold a selection of portraits from the University’s art collection, creating a warm, powerful and theatrical space at the heart of the University. Equally suited to conference welcomes, exhibitions, receptions or gala dinners, this flexible space including dais can be used in theatre or banquet style. The adjoining cloisters and quadrangle lawn can also be used for pre-dinner drinks.

The Hall has an extensive fixed stage, backstage green rooms and a large foyer and is equipped with a state-of-the-art digital projection system, including a fully fitted 8m-wide projection screen. In addition to its use for exhibitions or conferences, the Hall is an ideal dinner venue for up to 350 guests. It is licensed and can be serviced by up to three bar areas. Free on-site parking is available for evening and weekend events.

Elmwood Hall

The Elmwood Hall is a flat-floored, open space with balcony seating and be used as plenary, break-out or exhibiton space. With self-contained green rooms, the Elmwood Hall is an ideal space for alternative events such as fashion shows, concerts and theatrical performance

Riddel Hall

The original external courtyard has been enclosed by a glass roof and is now a multifunctional space with a capacity of 290 theatre style or 150 for banqueting. Alongside Riddel Hall and linked by two glass walkways is a newly built Conferencing Centre with a lecture theatre for 110 and function space for up to 290 theatre style.
